Funeral services for Averil Abraham Gore, 51, of Spurger will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with internment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 pm until 7 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Gore passed away October 18, 2016 at Christus Jasper Memorial Hospital.
Born in Kountze, he was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and Spurger. He worked as a mechanic in maintenance.
Abraham is preceded in death by his mother Willie Bell Weeks Gore and sister Rachel Marie Gore.
Survivors include his father Samuel C Gore Sr of Silsbee; fiancee’ Sandra Hooks of Spurger; daughters Rachel Gore of Nacogdoches and Megan Gore of Woodville; brothers Walter Lynn Blair and wife Joyce of Buffalo TX, Samuel C Gore Jr and wife Cheryl of Segno, Oliver B Gore and wife Jeannie of Fred, Hubert Gore and wife Cathy of Fred, Rodgers Gore of Spurger and Paul Gore of Spurger; sisters Rena J James and husband Lloyd of Kountze, Donna D Bell of Spurger, Debra B Jeffcoat and husband Carlton Ray of Spurger, and Delinda Kay Sirmons of Silsbee. Mr. Gore is also survived by one grandchild and many, many nieces, nephews and other family members.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
