Raymond Homer Whitt Sr., 82, of Silsbee passed away November 29, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Whitt was born January 29, 1934 in Winston-Salem, NC. He was a longtime resident of Silsbee and a retired landscaper. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.
Raymond is preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Caraway Whitt; wife Leslie Whitt; brother James Whitt Jr.; sisters Edith Fraley, and Lorraine Haneline.
Survivors include sons Raymond Whitt Jr. of Lumberton, Kevin Whitt of Silsbee, Kenneth Whitt of Michigan City, IN, and Bob Whitt of Twenty-Nine Palms, CA.; daughters Carol Authement of Silsbee, Patty Urenda of Silsbee, Lorie Whitt of Winyard-Ewing, NJ, Anna McCormick of San Diego, CA, and Joyce Burnett of Alabama; brothers Richard Whitt of Buffalo, NY and Donald Whitt of Golden Valley, AZ; twenty-nine grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Mr. Whitt will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. No services are scheduled at this time.
