Funeral services for Albert “Ted” Mitchell, 81, of Kountze will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 2, 2016 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment to follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Mr. Mitchell passed away November 29, 2016 at his residence.
Ted was born January 04, 1935 in Beaumont and was a lifelong resident of Kountze. He was a retired mechanic.
Ted is preceded in death by his father Albert T. Mitchell Sr.; mother Nellie Couvillion Mitchell; wife Claudia Mitchell and son Keith Morris.
Survivors include sons Albert Morris and wife Melissa of Baytown, Jayson Mitchell and wife Malinda of Kountze, William Dudley Mitchell and wife Theresa of Spurger, Michael Mitchell and wife Judy of Houston; daughters Cindy Schaefer and husband Stanley of Lumberton, and Sylvia Flowers and husband Perrell of Silsbee; sisters Helen Angele of Vidor and Jeanette Picou of Beaumont; twenty-three grandchildren and twenty-one great grandchildren.
Ted will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
