Graveside services for Ruth Beatrix Armour, 74, of Kountze will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 20, 2016 at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Anders, Tommy Barclay, B. A. “Brynie” Coe, Kenneth “Goob” Lindeman, Quinton Overstreet and Winston Overstreet.
Mrs. Armour passed away December 16 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
Ruth was a native of Beaumont and a longtime resident of Kountze. She was a homemaker.
She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas and Eunice Hooks and brother Sonny Hooks.
Survivors include husband J. D. Armour of Kountze; son Wes Armour and wife Melena of Vidor; daughter Mandy Armour Atkins and husband Jay of Taylor Lake Village; brother Ben Hooks of Kountze and four grandchildren Alexandra Atkins, Michelle Stocki, Alison Koch and Travis Koch.
