Graveside services for Eddie Amos ‘Poe’ Williams, 67, of Buna will be 10:00 am Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Sudduth Bluff Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Tuesday evening at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Mr. Williams died January 2, 2017 at his residence.
Eddie was a lifelong resident of the Old Laurel community near Buna. He worked as a logger. Poe was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by his loving family and many friends.
Mr. Williams is preceded in death by his parents Lee Charles and Arbell Van Pelt Williams and daughter Sue Loggins.
Survivors include his wife Connie Marie Burrell Williams of Buna; daughters Patty Havens and husband Tracy of Evadale, Rachel Williams of Orange, Chasity Parsons and husband Jason of Kountze, Becky Sutton and husband Roger of Deweyville and Ashley Thomason and husband Michael of Buna; brothers Charles ‘Wig’ Williams of Buna and Ben Jack Williams of Nederland; sisters Betty Jo Lavine of Hartburg, Delores Harris of Buna and Sally Vance of Florida; nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
