Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Eason passed away January 12, 2017 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Faye was a born in Jasper and raised in Kirby’s Camp 11, then Silsbee. She was a 1952 graduate of Silsbee High School and was a retired LVN.

Faye and Vernon moved to Fred in 1964, where they raised their family of seven children. After the kids were grown and gone, she and Vernon moved to Mount Union, then to Jasper, and finally settled near Rayburn on the Angelina River. They loved living on the river where it was quiet and peaceful and they enjoyed spending time with their children and grandchildren. Faye was the kind of grandmother every child wants. She took the grandkids walking, exploring and picking flowers. She wasn’t afraid of anything and would pick up a snake on the road, take it home, kill it and keep it in the freezer in a Ziploc bag for the grandkids to see. Her granddaughters and great granddaughters loved playing dress-up and having tea parties with Granny. Faye enjoyed fishing and exploring the surrounding woods with her grandsons and great grandsons. She enjoyed quilting, watching football and tennis on TV and anything outside. Faye loved to just ride back country roads and pick flowers or dig up plants to transplant in her yard.

Mrs. Eason is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Rosa Lee Christian Bailey; husband of over 50 years Vernon Eason; son Michael Harper; sister Juanita Bailey Grigsby; brother Theodore Basil Bailey and son-in-law J David Moore.

Surviving her are her loving children Sonya Harper Moore of Jasper, Tablau ‘Tab’ Harper Ferguson and husband Kenneth of Fred, Jimmy Harper of Jasper, Robby Eason and wife Lynda of Jasper, Kyle Eason of Jasper, Ramona Sisk and husband Donald 'JR' of Fred and special niece Pam Hardy and husband Doug of Pineland. She is also survived by grandchildren Salina Bell, Laura Beth Vietor, Chris Harper, Rowdy Harper, Colin Moore, Lynn Ferguson, LeErin Bridges, April Harper, Ashely Sisk, Jennifer Lovell, Nathan Eason, Tracy Rogers, Audrey Sisk, Sarah Harper and Gianna Eason; several great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.

Faye had a special relationship with each of her children and every grandchild and great grandchild. She was loved by every member of her family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
