Don Henry Nichols, 82, of Huntington, WV passed away Monday, January 16, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Don was born July 15, 1934 in Lawrence County, Ohio and lived most of his life there. Don was the son of the Frank Nichols, and Charles and Priscilla Johnson Bragg. In addition to his parents Don was preceded in death by a son Charles Franklin Nichols and Mary Workman Nichols the mother of his children. Don retired from Owens-Illinois Glass Plant in 1993 after 40 years of service. He was a shift foreman. Don enjoyed traveling all over the United States and was an avid bowler. He enjoyed NASCAR races and attending Marshall basketball games with friends. Don is survived by four daughters Mary Kathryn Tennison, Deborah Ann Melrose and Jennifer Annette Shively all of Huntington and Donna Gail (Charles) Fugett of Ironton, Ohio; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and a long time companion Lois Napier. He attended the Huntington First Church of Nazarene. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Marc Price and Dallas Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at the funeral home.
