 James Daniel Gibson, 65, of Huntington, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born August 15, 1951 in Huntington, a son of the late James Alex Gibson and Mary Jo Partlow Gibson, he was preceded in death by one brother Delbert “Razzy” Gibson. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Retired from Mountaineer Gas after 37 years of service, he is survived by his loving wife Brenda Van Way Gibson; two sons, James David Gibson and Deanna Vanover, John Michael Gibson and his wife Jennifer; two sisters, Marie Peters and husband Mike, Elaine Blake and husband Brent; sister-in-law, Sherry Gibson; brothers-in-law, Carl and Claude Van Way; six grandchildren, James “JP”, Britiny, Jordyn, Jamie, Jason and Hunter; two great grandchildren, Gracie and Rowan; close cousins and friends, Frank and Barb Dillon and Charlie McCoy as well as a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and many close friends from Mountaineer Gas. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville with Bishop Gary Carico officiating.
