Laura Faye Smith Linville LeggeThe Comforter made the journey easy for LAURA FAYE SMITH LINVILLE LEGGE on her way to Heaven on Saturday, January 21, 2017. She leaves behind family and friends who will miss her example of strength, unconditional love and grace. Laura Faye was born in Lincoln County, West Virginia with her twin sister Lillie May Smith Cremeans on August 25, 1935, to Willie and Missouri Linville Smith. Laura was placed in the loving arms of Mallie and Bernice Williams Linville who loved her dearly all of their lives. Laura was the wife of Ronald Joe Legge for 62 years. They were parents of five children, Kevin B. Legge of Sardinia Italy, Carla J. Rogers of Buckhannon, Alecia B. Legge of Huntington, Kristopher B. Legge (Gina) of Beaufort, S.C., and an infant son who died in childbirth. Laura had seven grandchildren, Laura Faye Legge of Pordenone, Italy, Stephen Legge (Kayla) of Shelbyville, Ky., Jeremy Rogers of Buckhannon, Timothy Legge of Texas, Rene Pruneda of North Carolina, Rick Pruneda of South Carolina and Ralphael (Teresa) Pizeno of South Carolina and three great-grandchildren, Josephine, RJ and Zoee. Also surviving is her beloved dog, Ralphie. Laura was preceeded in death by her mom and dad, Mallie and Bernice Linville, brother Mallie Leon Linville and very dear brother Shelton Smith and wife Pearl. Family was very important, and the "Legge Clan" were very precious to her. Lowell Legge, Willa Jean and Ollie Davis, Larry and JoAnne Legge, Doyla and Frank Perry, Donna and Phil Hardiman, Brenda and Paul Harvey, Teresa and Charlie Baumgardner and all of their children. She was happy to be a part of the family. Laura had special nieces and nephews who were very loyal to her including James Smith, Kathy Campbell, Michael Linville, Kayla Linville and their sons. She is survived by her twin sister Lillie Mae Cremeans. Laura was always involved in her children's activities and encouraged them to be happy with themselves and not sell themselves short. She volunteered 16 years at Altizer Elementary School, loving her children and others. Laura was a lifelong member of Living Waters Free Methodist Church. She worked in the public most of her life working at 20th Street Bank, Doctors Conaty and Casserta, Parmeco Orthopedics, Dr. Royceman, Dr. Richardson, Developmental Therapy Center and lately volunteered for the Veterans Honor Flight of Huntington. Laura loved people and made many friends in her work and life. The family would like to thank the Oncology Department of HIMG, Dr. Valsecchi and all the staff. Laura felt they were a joy to be with and they appreciated her sense of humor. Also a big thank you extended to West Virginia Hospice for their kindness, understanding and patience. At the request of Laura she will be cremated. There will be a celebration of life service to be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, at Wallace Funeral Home and Chapel in Barboursville, W.Va., with Pastor Larry Bailey, Rev.
