1943 - 2017
Marlene “Mickie” Carter, 73 of Proctorville, OH passed away at home January 27, 2017 after a long hard fought battle with Alzheimer’s. She was born March 26, 1943 daughter of the late Marvel and Bernis Elkins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Micheal Chinn and a sister Brenda Stanley. She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Carter; two daughters, Diana White and Shelly Daniels (Jason); one son, Rick Chinn; one sister, Mary Harmon ( Jim); and one brother, Don Elkins (Eldy). She loved and was loved by many grandchildren, Erin Chinn, Ryan White (Vanessa), Tiffany White (Tyler Roberts), Christopher White, Kameron Daniels, Emalee Daniels and five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was a loving Wife, devoted Mother and Grandmother, a kind hearted Christian always willing to help others. Graveside Service will be conducted on January 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery by Pastor Jason Morris. There will be no visitation. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Gary and family please accept our condolences and prayers for you and your family at this difficult time, I have thought of you folks often over the years. Having sit next to you and your family at Abundant Life Baptist Church years ago. We had moved away for a while and then lost contact with you folks.
