Graveside services for Jack Earl Hardy Sir, 86, of Doucette, formerly of Evadale and Wildwood, will be 10:00 am Friday, February 3, 2017 at Restlawn Cemetery in Vidor under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

Mr. Hardy died February 1, 2017 at Woodville Health and Rehab

Jack was born in Nederland and lived in Evadale for many years before moving to Wildwood, then to Doucette in 2003. Jack retired from Gulf Oil where he worked as an electrician. After retiring, Mr. Hardy started a contracting business and in 2001 he and Joyce opened an antique and resale shop.

Jack was a 63 year member of Evadale Masonic Lodge and was a past worthy patron of Eastern Star.

Mr. Hardy is preceded in death by his parents James L and Catherine Lyons Hardy; loving wife of 57 years Joyce Armstrong Hardy; daughter Juena Evon Hardy Bruce; and brother James Earl Hardy.

Survivors include sons Jack Earl ‘Jay’ Hardy Jr and wife Laly of California and Jody Edward Hardy and wife Yvonne of Longview; daughters Jacquelyn Elaine Whelan and husband Robert of Woodville, Jan Elizabeth Spears and husband Donald of Silsbee and Jennifer Ellen Wilson and husband Greg of Silsbee; granddaughters Jessica, Jamie and Kristen; brothers Pete Ross Hardy of Houston and Larry Van Hardy of Ohio; sister Glenda K Dorman of Beaumont; and numerous other grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Jack was a loving son, husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
