Edna F. Spears, 86, Apr 5, 1930 -Feb 13, 2017, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. Dearly loved Edna is now one of God's angels. Edna was born in Canada,but in the sixties, with a friend and her adventurous spirit, she decided to give the United States "a try" and ended up living there, mostly centered in Ohio. She married Charles Otis (now deceased). She is also pre-deceased by all of her four siblings in Canada. Edna would always visit her nieces and nephews every summer and she has left them with many fond memories! She will be sorely missed! Up until her death, she has had an ongoing contact with them, always interested in what they were up to. Edna was a loving, caring person who loved children, sweets and appreciated the odd sneak peak at a good looking man in her presence. Very special thanks goes out to Brenda Neville her POA, who advocated for her care and comfort, Linda Denison, her caregiver for a while and Grace McMaster who for the past while has been her main caregiver in her apartment in Proctorville and in the Heartland Nursing Home. You both loved her for sure! Edna also leaves behind those who knew her all of these years in Ohio and West Virginia, leaving an indelible impression upon any person she encountered. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Neal Cemetery, Milton, WV. There will be no visitation.
