Gerald Clyde Hooper, 83, of Huntington, WV passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Huntington, WV. He was born February 20, 1933 in North Anson, Maine son of the late Clifford and Caroline Hooper. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Doris Hooper; daughter Barbara Cremeans; grandson Clifford Ray Cremeans; great grandson Sabastion Duclau; and one brother Ray Hooper. He was a member of Apostolic Life Cathedral Church, Huntington, WV and a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by his wife Karen Byrd Hooper; three daughters Diane (Terry) Ellis of Kenova, WV, Sandra (Robert) Esque of South Point, Ohio and Judith Cazad (Tom) of Huntington, WV; one son Robert (Mary) Hooper of Dayville, CT; step children Glen and Kelly Curtis of CT, Michael and Beth Curtis of CT, Joanne Curtis (Tom) Allen of Maine, Vince Byrd, Brian Byrd, Paulette Holley and Wendy Terry all of Huntington, WV; grandchildren Melissa, Robby, Alicia, Robby, Stephanie, Amanda and Crystal; and many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, February 17, 2017 at Apostolic Life Cathedral Church, Huntington, WV with Bishop E.S. Harper officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Church. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is assisting the family with arrangements. Dad you died on Moms birthday and now you are home in heaven with her. I am gonna miss you coming over and eating lunch with me and sharing stories of years gone by. First Uncle Ray passed now you're gone, it's hard o believe. I love you always! Diane
