Edward 'Eddie' York Sr Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1936 - 2017 Funeral services for Edward Earl ‘Eddie’ York Sr., 80, of Silsbee will be 2 pm Friday at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred. Visitation will begin at 5 pm Friday at the funeral home. Mr. York died February 21, 2017 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Eddie was born May 10, 1936 in Silsbee to Estille and Bertie Graham York. He was a lifelong resident of Silsbee and worked as a welder before retiring. Eddie proudly served his country in the US Army. Mr. York is preceded in death by his parents and brothers J C York and Willis Clinton York Sr. He is survived by his wife Rose Laurent York of Silsbee; son Edward York Jr and wife April of Silsbee; daughters Rebecca Owens and husband Ross of Beaumont, Melody Wheeler and husband Anthony of Odessa, Lucretia ‘Chris’ Hightower of Groves and Katrina ‘Tina’ Suarez and husband Don of Groves; sixteen grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Eddie was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
