 Harold Lee “HL” Davis III, 55, of Huntington, WV, passed away at home Friday, March 3, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, March 6, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Brian Cardwell. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. He was born March 17, 1961, a son of the late Harold Lee Davis Jr. and Oma Jane Davis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Verna Davis. He is survived by one son, Lee Davis (Sarah Bellamy) of Ceredo; two sisters, Ursula Davis (Ling) and Teresa L. Davis both of Huntington; his fiancé Connie Merritt and her daughters, Melissa Arnold and Carrie Merritt-Spurlock; grandson, Blaide Allen Davis; and special step-grandson, Owen Alexander Arnold. Lee, Jay and I are sad at the passing of your dad. We pray God will give you and your family peace and know that God loves you and is near you if you need to talk to Him. I pray you know Jesus as your personal Saviour. If not, now is a good time to ask Him to forgive you for all your sins and start a new life of peace, joy and everlasting life through Jesus. Oh Connie, I am so saddened and shocked to hear that HL passed away! He was so close to our family and, of course one of Lawrence's "Best Buds"! When I needed them to help me he was always here to help Lawrence! May loving memories bring all of you peace and comfort! My heart is breaking for Lawrence and you! God will be with you and your family! ??
