Phyllis Jean Farris, 76, of Willow Wood, Ohio passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born November 20, 1940 in Lawrence County, Ohio daughter of the late Tipp and Lillian Rigney Treadway. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two daughters Kathy and Linda Farris; two sons Danny Ferris and Billy Rigney; two grandchildren Misty Farris and Braydon Farris; two husbands Ottie Farris and Charlie Chauvin; and brother Mike Treadway; She is survived by four sons Bobby Farris, David Michael Rigney, Donnie Dale Farris, Rick Dailey; three daughters Tammy (Bear) Adkins, Peggy Rigney and Bonnie (Allen)Farris-Shaw; 13 grandchildren David (Nikki) Rigney, Beth (Vince) Rigney-Hammock, Kathy (Mike) Ross, Donna (Jaime) Reynolds, Billy (Meria) Rigney, Jeannie (JR) Bevins, Amber Farris, Ricky Farris, Rebecca Tieman, Tammy Tieman, Brittany Farris, and Cassie (Jaymond) Estes; 20 great grandchildren Emily Rigney, Josh Rigney, Lillian Rigney, Johnathon Rigney, James “Peanut” Bevins, Madison Bevins, William Hammock, Madeline Hammock, Austin Ross, Taylor Reynolds, Anna Reynolds, Bradley Wells, Jordan Farris, Ricki Tieman, McKenzie Tieman, Skylar Tieman, Jackie Tieman, Allen Tieman, Alexis Tieman, Brandon Estes, Arriona Estes, Heavenly Tieman and Mykia Tieman. Phyllis will be missed by so many very special extended family members and friends, including Tammy McCoy from A&L Home Health, she spent the last 10 years showing Phyllis love and empathy, our family is grateful for your dedication. Phyllis was an avid animal lover, she will be sadly missed by her sidekick, Boots. While driving out Greasy Ridge you would often find Phyllis on her front porch, awaiting many of her visitors for summer time front porch talks. There were many front porch talks between Phyllis and Kimberly Johnson Donahoe that our family will forever be grateful for, Phyllis enjoyed your talks, thank you Kimmy. Phyllis often talked about her nephew Donald Ray Farris, and how he would stop by in the summer time with fresh produce or a new pair of house shoes, thank you Donald Ray and Iva Farris it meant the world to her. If you would ask her grandkids they would describe he as an amazing cook, her noodle and tomatoes where second to none. Phyllis grew up and raised her kids in a time when Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, George Jones and at times David Ball where often heard coming from her radio. So many memories that involved country music, family cookouts and driving out dirty roads will never be forgotten. Phyllis will forever be missed by those who loved and cared for her. A graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at Cenetary Cemetery, Chesapeake, Ohio with Rev. Eddie Salmons officiating. There will be no visitation.
