Funeral services for James Sterling Erwin, 84, of Silsbee will be 2:00 Monday, March 20, 2015 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Leatherwood Cemetery in Lumberton. Visitation will be 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Erwin passed away March 16, 2017 at his residence.

A native of Call, James was a long-time resident of Silsbee. He was a truck driver for Freight Transport before retiring and proudly served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

Mr. Erwin is preceded in death by his parents James and Minnie Bell Smallwood Erwin; wife Marie Erwin; daughters of his heart Virginia Christine Benton and Charlotte Benton Bowden; brothers Curtis Erwin and Thomas Smallwood; and sisters Mildred Erwin and Bula Allen.

He is survived by his Sweetie of 17 years, Ginger Mayberry; nieces Cynthia Phillips and Susie Cryer; grandchildren Brittany Melancon, Joshua David Fredregill, Destiny Bowden and Richard Van Horn and four great grandchildren.

Knew James for many years while working at Yellow Freight! Great guy! I know he will be missed!
