Jennings Franklin Thompson, 80, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Monday, March 20, 2017 at home. He was born April 5, 1936 in Logan, WV son of the late Charles and Dora Elkins Thompson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by four siblings Dallas Thompson, Ada Snyder, Freta Thompson and Eddie Thompson. Jennings is survived by his loving wife of 44 years Diana Whitley Thompson; sister-in-law Kay (Jack) Wright; brother-in-law Ray (Teresa) Whitley; sister-in-law Gay Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was a faithful employee of Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio and a U.S. Air Force Veteran. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Pastor Brady Lipscomb officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 12 noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at the funeral home. Sorry for your loss. I worked with Jennings for several years and I always thought a lot of him. I also went to school with his brother-in-law, fine family I know he will be missed. Have to work and cant attend but your family will be in my prayers.
