Charles “Slick” Michael Elder, Jr, 42, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 23, 2017 in Milton, WV. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, March 27, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Brady Lipscomb. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. He was born February 5, 1975 in Cabell County, a son of Charles Michael Elder, Sr. and his wife, Brenda. He is the father of Patricia “Brooke” Elder and was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Lynn Qualls Elder, brother, Russell Cole, paternal grandfather, Walter Elder, and maternal grandparents, Raymond and Lenore Qualls. He is also survived by his paternal grandmother, May McComas; sisters, Tina (Jason) Hughes, Shawna Cole, Lisa (Gregory) Wilson; nieces, Kaitlynn, Sarah, Baylee; nephew, Jacob; and special friends, Ashley and Landon Childers and Bob Chapman. He leaves behind many loved aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Sunday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville.
