Funeral services for Lester Herman Hollyfield, 89, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Monday, April 3, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hollyfield died March 31, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
A native and lifelong resident of Silsbee, Lester was a carpenter by trade before retiring.
He is preceded in death by his parents Norman Claude and Ila Gore Hollyfield; wife Ann Hollyfield; sister Wilma Moore; brothers Chester Hollyfield and Leroy Hollyfield, and son Kenneth Hollyfield.
Survivors include his sister Jetta Smart of Liberty; sons Wayne Hollyfield and wife Verna of Kountze, Paul Hollyfield of Beaumont, Charles Hollyfield and wife Mary of Beaumont, Donald Hollyfield of Caney Head, and Stevie Hollyfield of Warren; grandchildren Shawn Hollyfield, Chad Hollyfield, Brent Hollyfield, Melissa Haynes, Jason Hollyfield, Adam Hollyfield, Tonya Wright, Brandy Musick and Heather Landry; eleven great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.
Mr. Hollyfield was a loving son, brother, husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.
