1990 - 2017

Anthony SieglingAnthony “Eric” Siegling took his final steps on this earthly journey on March 28, 2017. He was 27 years old. Eric’s strong faith in God and belief in eternal salvation are helping his many friends and family members to see this journey through to its conclusion, and accept that God’s plan for us leads us to peace and to joy, even while walking through this vale of tears. Evan “Van” Siegling and Carol Siegling welcomed Eric into their lives in 1990. He brought his famous smile with him, and gave it to his parents as his gift. Their smiles started on that day and never stopped. And everyone who ever came to know Eric shared in that smile. Friends too numerous to count, family members gathering and growing in an ever-widening circle, everyone who knew Eric was enriched by that smile and glad to know him as someone who always was looking for a way to “help a brother out.” Eric graduated from Minford High School in Minford, Ohio, in 2009, and soon he met the love of his life, Jessica (Beckett) Siegling, whom he married in 2014. As the many pictures on Facebook will bear witness, their family was the representation of what a family should be—loving, caring, supporting, and always keeping Christ at the center of their lives. While sorrow and sadness hold the hearts of those he leaves behind, we know that those who have welcomed him to his Heavenly home are rejoicing and enfolding him into their arms. Our grief is transformed into joy as they prepare to share eternity with him. Among them are his grandparents, Harold and Betty Ellsesser. Eric is survived by his wife, Jessica, children, Abby and Jaykob, brother-in-law, Josh Beckett, sister-in-law, Jamie Conkright, nieces and nephews, Jeremy and Brooklyn Beckett, and Leighara Conkright, and father and mother-in-law, Brent and Misty Beckett, and a multitude of extended family, friends and others in the community that Eric loved and was proud to be a part of. He is also survived by several cousins: Alexandra Ellsesser, Caitlin (Adam) Whitton, Beth (Eric) Copas, Jason (Jessica) Ellsesser, Ben Ellsesser, Megan Ellsesser, and by his best friend Joe Neeb. The family will receive visitors on Monday, April 3, from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Wallace Funeral Home, 1159 Central Avenue, in Barboursville, WV. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 4, at 11 a.m., at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Green Valley Cemetery. At the family’s request, those who are able should wear Ohio State University attire. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. He was too young to go.
