Ulah Plybon, 83, of Huntington, WV passed away Monday, April 10, 2017. She was born in Huntington, WV on February 6, 1934, a daughter of the late Romeo and Ruby Davis Plybon. She was preceded in death by two sisters Naomi Bowen and Ruby Xylphia Coyle; three brothers Romeo Elsworth Plybon, Robert Plybon and Lowell Plybon. She is survived by two brothers Dr. Benjamin Plybon of Indianapolis, Indiana and Dr. Ira Plybon of Huntington; three sisters Elinor Hayes of Columbus, Ohio, Nellie Plybon of Scottown, Ohio and Mary Ellen Davis of Huntington, WV. Although visually impaired, Ulah made her life a success. She graduated from Huntington East High School in 1952. After working for several years at the Ohio State Department of Liquor Control in Columbus, she returned to Huntington where she accepted the job of office manager at the Jefferson Standard Insurance Company. She retired from Jefferson Standard in 1988. Ulah often praised her mother, Ruby, for the encouragement she gave her children to excel in school and in life. Ulah was a dedicated worker, an expert seamstress, and a good cook. She will be greatly missed by her family. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, April 22, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will take place in the Davis Family Cemetery in Cabell County, WV.
