Evelyn Holderby Hale Marcum, 88, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Thursday May 4, 2017 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston, WV. She was born May 8, 1928 in Huntington, WV daughter of the late Porter Conway and Daisy May Stanley Holderby. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two husbands Curtis Hale and Herbert Marcum; two sisters Edna Bootie Gorby and Sally Rigney. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Jackie (Ted) Moon and Patricia (Frank) Fragale of Charleston, WV; one son Barry Kent Hale of Proctorville, Ohio; one sister Patricia Burd of Proctorville, Ohio; two granddaughters Sarah (Brad) Hawkins and Anna Fragale and fiance John Miller; two step granddaughters Janet Caldwell and Alma Marcum; two grandsons Shane and Nathan Hale; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Monday May 8, 2017 at Jefferson Avenue Church of God, 2309 Jefferson Avenue, Huntington, WV 25704 with Pastors Greg Tomlinson and Paul Farley officiating. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held 10 to 11 a.m. Monday May 8, 2017 at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jefferson Avenue Church of God or Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Curtis Price Way, Charleston, WV, 25311. Patty Lynn, Jackie Sue, and Barry Kent: So sorry to learn of your mothers passing. She was one of the original 29 Stanley first cousins and we have only 5 remaining now, of which I am the youngest at 81. Please accept our condolences. Love to each of you. Prayers and thoughts.
