Margaret Ellen Swick, 91, of Proctorville, Ohio went home to be with the Lord, Monday, May 8, 2017 at River’s Bend Health Care in South Point, Ohio. Margaret was born July 23, 1925 in Braxton County, WV near Gassaway, a daughter of the late Guy and Eula (Rexroad) Helmick. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church where she cleaned “the Lord’s house” for 36 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bob Swick and a brother, Harry Helmick of Parkersburg, WV. Margaret is survived by two sons (twins) Tim and Linda Swick of London, Ohio and Tom and Kathy Swick of Chesapeake, Ohio; one daughter Denise and Bill Pigman of Proctorville, Ohio; one sister Barbara and Neal Swisher of Parkersburg, WV; grandchildren Jessica and Russell Smith of Plain City, Ohio, Justin and Maria Swick and their sons “great grandsons” Logan and Joseph of Lexington, KY, Sarah and John Perry and their daughters “great granddaughters” Lena and Josie of Huntington, WV. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, Patricia Helmick of Parkersburg, WV, Ruby Swick of Dayton, Ohio, Carol and Harold Kelley of Clarksburg, WV and Virginia and Bill Holmes of St. Albans, WV along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Margaret also had two lifelong friends, Jeannie Skinner of Clarksburg, WV and Joann Hall of Lost Creek, WV who kept in contact with her through phone calls, cards, and letters all through the years. Margaret never met a stranger and possessed a wonderful gift of being able to make everyone she met or knew feel special. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday May 11, 2017at New Hope United Methodist Church, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Dwayne Shugert. Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m. Thursday May 11, 2017 at the church. A graveside service will be held 12:00 Noon Friday, May 12, 2017 at Seventh Day Baptist Church Cemetery at her beloved Lost Creek, WV. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. I am so sorry ,prayers for the family ms Margaret was a wonderful lady she will missed greatly.i so enjoyed our talks and visits when she lived closed to Helen and Jim.

Denise I am so so sorry for your great loss! Margaret was a sweet sweet lady. I will miss her contagious smile and the thank you's for every little thing I did for her! She will be greatly missed ,I pray you find comfort in this time of sorrow! I know she is with Jesus now and no more pain or heartache...Fly High sweet Margret

This lady was my bud from the time I applied for a job at River's Bend. She was a part of my welcoming committee and was a smile every day after. I love you my friend and know that you are sitting up there having a grand time. My prayers and love to the family.
