 James E. “Eddie” Ball, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. He was born January 21 in Huntington, WV. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Ball and Wilma Grass; two sons Kevin E. Ball and James Edward Ball, Jr; granddaughter Aliscia Ball; and two sisters Juanita “Bugsy” Robertson and Polly Drown. He was an active volunteer at Christ Temple Church and also Vice President and Owner of the Brace Shoppe. He is survived by his wife Jackie Earls Ball; one son Stephen Edward Ball of Chesapeake, Ohio; one daughter Niccole (Mark) Franklin of Goose Creek, SC; five grandchildren Tyler Ball, Johnna Ball, Cassie Franklin, Lainey Franklin and Emalee Franklin; one great granddaughter Isabella Sigmon; and a host of nieces and nephews that he considered his own. Funeral service will be conducted 11 a.m. Friday, May 12, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Chuck Lawrence. Burial will follow in Spring Valley Memory Gardens, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 11, 2017 at the funeral home. He enjoyed life so the family is asking everyone to wear something colorful and bright to celebrate his life. Jackie, So sorry for your loss. But I know that God will flood your heart with comfort. I remember our times together with Eddie. He was a good man. I didn't find out until this weekend that he had passed. If you need anything, give me a call! I love you girlfriend!
