Emory Lee BlankenshipEmory Lee Blankenship, 80, of Huntington, WV, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 13, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel with Pastor Greg Lunsford officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born June 30, 1936 in Oakvale, WV, a son of the late Emory and Cleo Terry Blankenship. He was an auto mechanic and was a member of Beulah Ann Missionary Baptist Church. He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his wife Thelma Pauline Blankenship, a sister, Claudia Ann Blankenship, two grandsons, Stewart Chapman Jr. and Matthew Chapman, and a son-in-law, Michael Mount. He is survived by three daughters, Trish Mount of Ona, WV, Sherry (Rusty) Dobbins of Barboursville, and Lisa (Bobby) Reynolds of Proctorville, OH; one sister, Shirley Waldron of Narrows, VA; one brother, Nathan Blankenship of Oakvale, WV; five grandchildren, Jason (Veronica) Napier, Jessica (Latoya) Napier, Andy (Kama) Reynolds, Samantha Taylor, and Amanda (Brett) Bocook; twelve great grandchildren, and special friend, his dog Rudy. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Tuesday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Houragon of University of Kentucky and to Hospice of Huntington. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV, 25709.
