Donald Wayne CobbFuneral services for Donald Wayne Cobb, 81, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Tuesday May 16, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Franks Branch Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Cobb passed away May 13, 2017 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Don is survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Jackie and six children, son Timothy Cobb of Port Arthur; daughters Donna Turner and husband Danny of Citronelle, AL, Penny Williams of Jasper, Tina Allen and husband Ed of Silsbee, Vickie Mathews and husband Tony of Albuquerque, NM, and Sonia Pope of Silsbee; ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren; sisters Alice Riley of Milton, FL, JoAnn Smallwood and Margie Baccus both of Houston.

Don was preceded in death by his father Charles Houston Cobb, and mother Margie Parrish Koller.

Mr. Cobb proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was discharged October 10, 1956.

He was an electrical engineer at Eastex Paper Mill where he worked for 35 years before retiring.

Don loved playing with his grandkids and spending time with his loved ones and friends. He had a strong love and belief for God. The family wants to thank Christus St. Elizabeth, Donnie Gulley (“Daddy and Mom loved spending time with Donnie and Derek on their visits”) and Aaron Leger (“Dad loved the last visit in the hospital”)

Don will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 755 S 11th St #212, Beaumont, TX 77701.
