Donald Ray SandefurFuneral services for Donald Ray Sandefur, 82, of Lumberton will be 10:00 am Saturday, May 20, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Mr. Sandefur passed away on May 18, 2017 at Silsbee Oaks Healthcare in Silsbee.

Don was a longtime resident of Lumberton. He retired as Head Chemist from PDGlycol Inc., and together with his wife, Patsy, they concentrated on enjoying their golden years.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife and best friend, Patsy Louise Sandefur who died on April 15, 2017.

Don is also preceded in death by his parents, Scott Clay Sandefur and Elsie Marie Gatewood Sandefur; sister Marie Peterson; brothers Starling Sandefur and J.A. Sandefur.

Survivors include his daughters Connie M. Danna and husband John H. Danna of Kountze, Beverly J. Hollyfield of Conroe, Tina M. Garza and husband Gary N. Garza of Deer Park; nieces Deborah McAdams of Beaumont, Sandra Hart of Fred; nephews Scott Peterson of Beaumont, Dennis Peterson of Beaumont, and several great nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren, Mistey M. Reeves, Brandy M. Stutts, Lacey L. Davenport, Timothy B. Flowers, April A. Bertrand, Jeremy M. Bauman, Kanda L. Miller, and Donaly W. Hollyfield; and eleven great grandchildren.

Don will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

I worked with Don for many years at PD Glycol. He was always nice and we got along great. My prayers for his family. Don was one of the good guys.
