1957 - 2017
Darren Michael Fain, 57, of Alexandria, Va., went home to glory Thursday, May, 25 2017, after a short illness. Darren was born November 7, 1957, in Huntington, WV to Cicero M. Fain, Jr. and the late Anna Marie (Black) Fain. Darren is a 1979 graduate of Huntington High School and attended Marshall University. Darren worked as a Sous Chef at Permons Restaurant and after it's closing, Ponderosa restaurant. Darren relocated to St Thomas, US Virgin Island in 1982 working at Stouffer's Grande Hotel and Resort and ultimately, Cardow Jewelers for most of his tenure on the Island. Darren, in 1991, relocated to the Washington, DC area where he worked for the US Government and ultimately settled in Alexandria, Va. Darren is survived by maternal Grandmother Nellie (Lee) Snow, siblings Dr. Cicero M. Fain III, Patrick L. Fain and Andrea (Fain) Carelli; a host of nieces/nephews, grand nieces/nephew, cousins and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 12 Noon on Saturday June 3, 2017 at First Baptist Church, 801 6th Ave., Huntington WV, 25701. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the church. You may send flowers, cards, expressions of love directly to First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery. Hall Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements. My deepest condolences and sympathy goes out to the entire Fain family. Darren I worked at Cardow for many years he was a very liked person the first time he went to st Croix He stayed at my family home and he never forget the treatment he got from them and always thank me. I am sorry to hear about his death but no that he is in a better place and he is your family special angel watching over u all.
