 Evis Elizabeth Bowen, 87, of Barboursville, passed away June 2, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 pm Monday, June 5, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Evan Arkell. Burial will be private. She was born September 19, 1929 in Cabell County, a daughter of the late Shelley and Julia Collins Woodrum. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy C. Bowen, son-in-law, Dennis Johnson and her sister, Donna Tidd. She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Beverly Johnson of Barboursville, Cindee Bowen and Robert Skeen of Hurricane, and Angie and Ed Boley of South Point, OH; one sister, Sheila Reynolds of FL; five grandchildren, Shelly Hightower, Ashley Ripley, Suzanne Ward, Merritt Keller Cook and Nathan Keller. The family would like to thank the staff of Chateau Grove and Hospice of Huntington for their kindness and care. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Huntington, Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. Visitation will be from 11-12 Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home. I just saw that Evis has passed. She was a great person both her and Bill were so much fun to be around. Now they are together again.

I just saw this today and I am so sorry. I loved her and daddy Bill so much. The best memories that I had in my childhood have them in it. I am so sad too hear this. I had seen her a few years ago at the DMV and it made my day and year so much brighter. A true angel on earth has been called home.

I loved taking care of Evis. Very pleasant.kind and so sweet. She has such a big heart. I will miss her dearly. RIP my friend
