On the morning of Thursday, June 15th, 2017, Thomas Vinson Lucas, age 70, took his last breath here on Earth, followed by his first breath in Heaven. Oh how we miss him!
He was preceded in death by his loving and devoted wife of 25 years, Patsy. Both joyfully played the parts of Grandma and Grandpa Unicorn. He was also preceded in death by his Parents Earl Silas and Clara Darlene Lucas, and by his Sisters Linda Roberts and Dorothy Christian.
Surviving Tom are his Brother Earl (Margaret) Lucas and his Sisters Virginia Adkins and Nancy (George) Presley. Also survivng are his children Tomi Lynn (Steve) Coley, Carol (David) Beckett and Matthew Lucas, and stepsons Andrew (Pam) Bronosky and Patrick (Anita) Bronosky. In addition, surviving are his grandchildren Jessyca, Shayla, Christopher, Zack (Shelby), Joshua, Kaitlyn, Jason, Hunter, Nik and Haley, along with 4 Great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and too many friends to count. Among these friends is long-time friend of both Tom and Patsy, Kristy Wood to whom we will be forever grateful for her help and companionship to both. For My Dad by Tomi Lynn Coley
Don't cry - I'm ok
I'm running streets of gold
Don't fret - I'm good
I'll never, ever grow old
Don't pout - I'm laughing
I'm visiting with The Lord
Don't worry - I'm smiling
I'll never again be bored
Don't stress - I'm clapping
I'm in no pain at all
Don't doubt - I'm singing
In God's choir I'm standing tall
Don't waver - I'm rejoicing
I'm waiting for "that day"
Don't wonder - I'm watching
I'll see you soon - on your way?
Don't slumber - I'm leaping
I'm certain His return is nigh
Don't mourn - I'm excited
We'll be together up here on High
