Wilma Elizabeth Gibbs, 85, of South Point, Ohio passed away Monday July 3, 2017 at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington, WV. She was born August 16, 1931 in Logan, WV. She was preceded in death by a daughter Stephanie Gibbs and numerous siblings. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Leo S. Gibbs; one son Glenn S. Gibbs; grandson Paris Smith; best friend Margaret Pennington; sister Betty Thompson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a graduate of Douglas High School and was secretary for Marshall University. She was a docent at the Huntington Museum of Art. The family wishes to express a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington and St. Mary’s Medical Center. A private family service will be held at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Entombment will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park Huntington, WV. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

I had the pleasure of meeting Wilma when I worked at Marshall. She was a lovely and kind lady. I am saddened by her passing.

I worked with Wilma years ago & she was always such a pleasant, classy lady. Any time I saw her thru the years, she was still the same & we enjoyed catching up. So sorry for your loss.
