Funeral services for John H. Nolen, 84, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 7, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following at Beech Creek Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be Thursday 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Mr. Nolen passed away July 2, 2017 at Silsbee Oaks Healthcare.
John was born March 18, 1933 to John Henry and Alma Jordan Nolen in Fred. He was a lifelong resident of this area. John was a retired construction superintendent. He proudly served his country with the US Marine Corp and received many decorations including a Purple Heart.
John is preceded in death by his parents; brothers Chockie Nolen, Bill Nolen, Buford Nolen; and sisters Frances Moore and Joyce McGill.
Survivors include wife Laveta Fritz Nolen of Silsbee; sons John Leroy Nolen of Buna and Darrell Lynn Nolen of Beaumont; daughter Dee Ann Zimmerman of Silsbee; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
