Pauline Martin Freeman Redus Click for Condolences      Printable Version
1925 - 2017

Pauline Martin Freeman RedusFuneral services for Pauline Martin Freeman Redus, 91, of Warren will be 10:00 am Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Redus passed away July 5, 2017 at her residence.

Pauline was born July 27, 1925 in Hicksbaugh, TX to Reverend Dave K. and Pearlie Martin and was a lifelong resident of this area. She grew up in the East Village Mills and Martin families area, at Hicksbaugh Rd. and Gore Store Rd. She taught quilting classes at her home church, Big Thicket Baptist. She also did volunteer work at Kountze Nursing Home and “in her day” was an avid fisherman on Hickory Creek. Pauline lived off of and enjoyed gardening and loved maintaining flower beds. She taught all of us all she could about farm life and raising livestock. Our memories and reflections go on and on.

Mrs. Redus is preceded in death by her parents; first husband and father of her children Rayford Morris Freeman Sr.; second husband Waymon “Woody” Redus; daughters Bobbie Ruth McNabb and Rebecca Freeman; son Ray Freeman Jr.; brothers D.K. Martin Jr., Ben Martin, John Martin; sisters Iva Walters, Annie B. Freeman, and Ellen Holland.

Survivors include her sons Ray Allen Freeman and wife Charlotte of Kountze, Henry Wayne Freeman and wife Betty of Warren, Kenneth Eugene Freeman Sr. of Warren, Paul Mark Freeman of Village Mills, Howard Bruce Freeman and wife Lori of Warren; son-in-law Danny McNabb; daughter-in-law Geri McAdams Freeman-Bell; seventeen grandchildren, thirty-five great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.

Pauline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Dear Family, I wish I could have been there to meet all of you. I am a granddaughter to Dellie & Fannie Richardson Dickey. I knew Pauline when I was younger but had not seen her for many years. I remember Aunt Pearlie and so many of the family when they would come to visit my grandparents. My parents were Arthur and Mollie (Dickey) Spurlock and I live in Woodville and work part time at Stringer & Griffin FH. I would love to meet some of you. My thoughts and prayers go out to you.
