Mildred L. Ellis, 87, of Chesapeake, Ohio passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at The Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House, Huntington, WV. She was born September 25, 1929 in Athalia, Ohio daughter of the late Cleve and Nettie Locey Burd. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carroll Ellis; one daughter Teresa Medley; granddaughter Angie Singfield; one sister Bess Thompson; and three brothers Luther, Carl and Homer Burd. She was a member of Teresa Chapter #257 O.E.S. and was also Past Worthy Matron. She was also a member of V.F.W. Post 6878 Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two daughters Verna (Marvin) Henson and Helen (Bruce) Collier both of Chesapeake, Ohio; two sons Gregory Ellis and Timmy Ellis both of Chesapeake, Ohio; eight grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio with Rev. Mitch Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, July 14, 2017 at the funeral home with Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m. by Teresa Chapter #257 O.E.S.
