Edward Love Johnson, 99, of Branchland, WV, passed away July 18, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, July 22, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, Dr. Gary Patton. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park. He was born December 9, 1917 in Sinks Grove, WV, a son of the late J. Dewett and Mae Halstead Johnson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary VanStavern Johnson. He is survived by his daughter, Rebecca Johnson of Branchland; two sons, Michael Johnson of Huntington and Newton Johnson of Tuscon, AZ; sister, Faye Fleet of St. Albans; brother Wellington Johnson of Lewisburg; one granddaughter, Amy Brown and two great-grandsons, Luke Edward Brown and Logan Daniel Brown. Were so very sorry for everyone's loss.I loved Uncle Ed,he had time for everyone.He shared his knowledge on most everything.He loved the mountain,storytelling ,taxidermy an many many subjects he was so self educated. He will be missed by all,especially his immediate family.We cherish the dulcimer he made and gave to Patsy. Love and miss you Uncle Ed!.So sorry Rebecca,Newton,an Michael.He now is in Gods Hands.
