Richard D. Dailey, 51, of South Point, Ohio departed this life on Tuesday July 18, 2017 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Richard was born October 29, 1965 in Huntington, WV to the union of D.W. and Mildred Dailey. He graduated from South Point High School in South Point, Ohio. He was a top notch auto mechanic and in later years opened Rick’s Back Alley Barbecue and Catering, where he was a Certified Pit Master. One of his greatest attributes was he had an incredible sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his father D.W. Dailey. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his mother Mildred Dailey; his daughter Samantha Handley; his son Jason Handley; step daughter Jessica Shook; companion Stephanie Dailey; brothers Jason Murdock, Richard Booth and very special Donny Dale Farris; sisters Connie Dailey McCreecy and Kay Dailey Workman; five grandchildren; best friends Remo Raines and Steve Millhouse; and a host of friends. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Sunday July 23, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio. Burial will follow in McCormick Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday July 23, 2017 at the funeral home.
