1926 - 2017
 Clifford Eugene “Gene” Gillespie, 90, of Huntington, passed away July 27, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Rev. Julia Bolling. Burial will be in Woodmere Memorial Park. He was born October 19, 1926 in Huntington, a son of the late Jack and Ivane Cooper Gillespie. Gene was a retired employee of C& O Railroad, a member of Dillon Chapel United Methodist Church, Minerva Lodge # 13, A.F. & A.M., Barboursville, and enjoyed singing with The Thundertones and The Exalters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ruth Gillespie and is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mike Hammock of Huntington and one grandson, Matthew Arthur of Huntington. Dear Pam, I am so very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. I know how hard this is. What helped me the most was knowing that my dad was now with his Savior and reunited with my mom, his soulmate. You and your family are in my prayers. I love you, Connie.
