Claude Ray Cremeans, Sr. 86, of Wheelersburg, Ohio went to be with the Lord surrounded by family and friends Tuesday August 1, 2017. He was born December 31, 1930 in Huntington, WV to the late Albert and Cena Cremeans. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Patricia Jean Fugate Cremeans; a son Stephen Cremeans; granddaughter Julie Lucas; sisters Doris Mae Cremeans and Levinia Blower; brothers Vernon, Jack, Donald, and Mitchell Cremeans. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Adams Cremeans; sons Claude Jr. “Budge” (Sandy) Cremeans, Terry (Belinda) Cremeans, Tony Chamberlin, and Scott Chamberlin; daughter Amy (Donnie) Holmes; sister Arlene (Vandal) Noble; grandchildren Kelly (Bill) Adams, Erin (Curt) Nethercutt, Brad (Jennifer) Cremeans, and Jeff (Shelly) Cremeans; 12 great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews; special friends Kenneth Johnson, Larry (Judy) Harris; and Hamons Jr. (Charlotte) Beecher. Claude was a veteran of the USMC during the Korean War. He worked for the C&O and CSX Railroad for 42 years as a boilermaker and foreman. He was a member of Rubyville Community Church. His desire was that all of his family and friends accept Jesus Christ as their Savior and that he would see them again in Heaven. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday August 4, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Calvin Ray Evans and Pastor Brian Baer. Burial will follow in Ridgelawn Memorial Park, Huntington, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday August 3, 2017 at the funeral home.
