A memorial service for Edward Lee Whitmire, 62, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Friday, September 1, 2017 at Farmer Funeral Home.
Mr. Whitmire passed away on August 24, 2017 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.
Edward was a lifelong resident of this area. He worked as a truck driver for many years, and was also a Minister. Mr. Whitmire was a loving son, father, brother, grandfather, and friend.
He is preceded in death by his father Tommie Whitmire, brother Arthur Whitmire, and sister Darlene Snow.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his mother Nola Whitmire of Silsbee; son Tommy Whitmire of Silsbee; daughter Melissa Moore of Woodville; sister Annette Powell of Silsbee; and grandchildren Grace Moore, Sara Moore, Sidney Moore, Rilea Whitmire, and Kylie Whitmire.
Edward will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
