Funeral services for Etta Virginia Landry, 77, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Sunday, September 10, 2017 at North End United Pentecostal Church in Evadale with interment following in Morse Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will be from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the church.
Mrs. Landry passed away on August 26, 2017 at Riceland Hospice in Beaumont.
Virginia was born July 21, 1940 in Barker, TX to Nealy and Estelle May Griffis. She was a longtime resident of Silsbee and a member of North End United Pentecostal Church of Evadale. Virginia worked many years as a care giver before retiring. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Dale Landry; brothers Alvin Jarrell “John” Griffis, Charles William Griffis, and Nealy Jerome Griffis; and sister Rachel Juanita Williams.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her sons Ronan “Ron” Landry and wife Mona of Silsbee, Mark Landry and wife Sherry of Silsbee, Terry D Landry and wife Stacy of San Antonio; brothers David Eugene Griffis of Silsbee and Howard Griffis of Buna; sisters Barbara Elliott of Pineland, Averine Pennington of Simonton, and Retha L Smith of Evadale; thirteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Landry will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
