1926 - 2017
Ted Ray Simpson, 91, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Wednesday September 13, 2017 at home. He was born January 8, 1926 in Huntington, WV to the late Henry Simpson and Evelyn Honaker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Danny D Simpson and a brother Robert Simpson. He was a member of Rome Church of Christ and preached at Church of Christ in Miller, Ohio. Ted was a WWII Marine Corps Veteran. He is survived by his wife Friday Simpson; one sister June Goodrich of Proctorville; one brother Ronald (Sandy) Honaker of Montgomery, AL; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 11 A.M. Saturday September 16, 2017 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio by Minister Karl Huff. Burial will follow in Rome Cemetery, Proctorville, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday September 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Proctorville VFW Post #6878 will conduct military graveside rites. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
