Wayne D BrammerBrother Wayne D. Brammer, 81 years old, of Barboursville, WV went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday September 19, 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bernard M. and Retta Nance Brammer; mother and father-in-law Robert and Dorothy Welch; one brother and sister-in-law Dallas and Verda Mae Brammer; and two great grandchildren. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Roberta Welch Brammer; two daughters, Deborah (Bill) Lewis and Denise (Skip) Edwards; one son Greg (Janet) Brammer; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister Mary (Dale) Burcham; three sisters-in-law Dottie Brammer, Diane (Leon) Massie; and Alice Fuller; and several nieces and nephews. He was born January 17, 1936 in Chesapeake, Ohio. He was a retired machinist from National Mine Service in Ashland, KY. He was called to the ministry in 1987. He served as pastor in a number of churches over the last 30 years. He was a member of First Southern Baptist Church of South Point, Ohio. He was an avid outdoorsman. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Funeral service will be conducted 3 p.m. Sunday September 24, 2017 at First Southern Baptist Church, South Point, Ohio by Pastor Paul Booth with visitation from 2 to 3 p.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens, South Point, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Gideons International or First Southern Baptist Church.
