Forrest Gene Jenkins Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1941 - 2017 Forrest Gene Jenkins, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, formerly of Milton passed away Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the age of 76. He was the son of the late Malcolm and Elsie Jenkins. He was preceded in death by one sister, Janet Kelley. He is survived by two sisters, Linda Clagg (Rodney) and Shirley Smith (Don) both of Milton, WV; two nephews, Larry Jarrell (Sherri), Brian Jarrell (Rebekah) of Milton; one niece, Stacy Boyd (Mark) of Huntington; great nieces and nephews, Grace and Kyle Gwinn, Shelby Paugh, Daniel Jarrell; Cory, Sarah, and Ruby Goff, Elisha, Heath Holden, and Madeline Walker, Cody and Emily Cary. He was a member of Chestnut Grove Baptist Church. He attended the Body of Christ Church of Oakland Park, Florida. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 6, 2017, at Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, by Pastor Mark Hesson. Burial will be in Toney Hill Cemetery, Milton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace.

Our prayers and hearts are with you all as Forrest's Life,is remembered and celebrated.A blessed,talented and jovial child of the King.Forrest has been a loved and cherished member of our Body of Christ Church family for many,many years.Our Memories are rich and Numerous... His huge smile,piano playing, worshipping at the top of his lungs.Forrest baked goods,and the Love he generously mixed in.His knowledge and love of Southern Gospel Music The Gaithers,The Blackwood Brothers,and the stories of his many years of singing.The highlight of his year was always his trips home for the holidays and a chance to spend time with his sisters and his family.We will miss his hugs and the warmth and love of Christ he extended to us.We send our prayers and precious remembrance of our beloved "Uncle Forrest"across the miles.Knowing he is at the piano now, playing with renewed strength and singing in full voice with all the saints,praises to our Creator,Father and King.Amen and Amen.....
