He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife of 62 years, Carol Jordan; two sons, Gregory and Leslie Jordan; a grandson, Billy James Jordan; a sister, Betty Hampton; and a brother, Lowell Wooten. He is survived by a son, Bobby (Mona) Jordan; a daughter, Kimberly (John) Hathaway; three sisters, Barbara (Lee) Shockley, Beulah Thomas, Bonnie (Calvin) Thomas; and his grandchildren, Christina (Deron) Lewis, Bobby (Hyemie) Jordan, Kattie Walters, Jason (Angela) Jordan, Amber (Ben) Campbell, Afton (Brent) Reedy, Jonathan Strong, Alan Strong, Adam Strong, Steve (Amy) Strong, Sabrina (Brenton) Pyle, Ashley Parker, Joseph Jordan-Hathaway; 16 great-grandchildren; a great-great grandson; and many nieces and nephews.
