Funeral services for Sherry Lynn Jones Grissom, 68, of Baton Rouge La will be 11:00 am Wednesday, November 8, 2017 at Beech Creek Baptist Church in Spurger, TX with interment following in Turner Branch Cemetery in Spurger. Visitation will be from 10 am Wednesday until time of service at the church.
Mrs. Grissom passed away November 5, 2017 at The Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge.
Sherry was born in Silsbee September 4, 1949 to Ruil ‘Buck’ and Lucille King Jones. Mrs. Grissom was a long-time resident of Addis LA before relocating to Baton Rouge. She was a retired caretaker and a member of Beech Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Grissom is preceded in death by her parents; step-mother Betty Howard; and brother Bob Jones.
Left behind to cherish her memories is her son Christopher Grissom of Brusly LA; daughters Shawna Gardiner and husband Dan of Baton Rouge and Whitney Prudhomme and husband James of Addis; brothers Charles Jones of San Diego, and Mike Jones of Beaumont; sisters Jeannette Welch of San Diego, Audrey McDonald of Vidor, and Stacey Posey of Hamshire.
Sherry is also survived by her loving grandchildren, Ella Gardiner, Camille Gardiner, Madeline Kate Gardiner and Madison Prudhomme and four great grandchildren.
