 Doris J. Stevens, 86, of Huntington, WV, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 25, 2017 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Larry Greene. Burial will be in White Chapel Memorial Gardens, Barboursville. She was born August 17, 1931 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, a daughter of the late Albert C. and Kathryn E. Wagner Bomgardner. She was preceded in death by her husband Dale R. Stevens. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Lois and Dan Bickerton of Huntington; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mark and Yvonne Stevens and Michael Stevens, all of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. David and Helen Bomgardner of the United Kingdom; one sister, Elizabeth Clouser of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren, Zack Bickerton (Beth), Amanda Stout (Stephen), Lauren Bowers (Cole), Ryan Stevens, Yolanda Stoner (Travis), Paul Cruze and Brandon Cruze (Elisa); 6 great-grandchildren; and special friend, Chris Malave. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Huntington, P.O. Box 464, Huntington, WV 25709. I am so Blessed to have known Ms. Doris for the short time I had with her. It is just amazing how someone can impact your life in such a short time, but she did that to me. She loved her family very much I could tell from the moment I met her, I am so sorry and my thoughts and prayers will be with you all. Love you Doris!
