Mary Ruth McCallister Hunter, 93 of Barboursville, passed away February 3, 2018. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Dr. Larry Greene. Burial will be in Oaklawn Memorial Park. She was born May 22, 1924 in Yohlin, WV, a daughter of the late John H. And Hester House McCallister. Ruth was a retired employee of Owens Illinois Glass Manufacturing. She was the first cub scout den mother in Barboursville. She was preceded in death by her husband, James R. “Dick” Hunter. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Sue Sang, of Hurricane, and John and Leota Sang of Pt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Brad (Melanie) Sang, Brent (Jaime) Sang, Brian (Wesley) Sang and Beau (Sarah) Sang; and nine grandchildren.
