Shirley Ann Porter, 75, of Catlettsburg, passed away Friday, Feb. 9, 2018, in King's Daughters Medical Center.

She was born April 2, 1942, in Wheelwright, a daughter of the late John M. and Laverna Hall.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Keith Hall; and several siblings.

Shirley was a member of Westwood Freewill Baptist Church. She retired from Natural Energy Company after many years of service and had worked at Second National Bank, Community Trust and Pepsi Cola Bottling Company.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 53 years, James W. Porter of Catlettsburg; sons, Terry (Joyce) Clay of Greenville, Tenn., James W. (Lacy) Porter Jr. of Middletown, Ohio; daughter, Nancy Hall of Ashland; brothers, Ralph Hall of Ashland, James Hall of Orlando, Fla., Carlos Hall of Warfield, Ind., and Dean Hall of Prestonsburg; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of loving extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, at Westwood Free Will Baptist Church with Pastor Ivan Asbury officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Burial Park.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Steen Funeral Home 13th Street Chapel.

Contributions in Shirley's memory may be made to Community Hospice or Westwood Free Will Baptist Church.
