Arthur Perkins, 80, of Wheelersburg Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 9, 2018 after a 10 year battle with cancer. He was a member of Cornerstone Church of the Nazarene and retired from Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 577.
Art is survived in death by his loving wife of almost 58 years: Norma Jean (Snyder) Perkins of Wheelersburg, his only daughter: Tami Thompson Brown (Bob) of Hazelwood, Missori, his two grandsons: Rev. Dusty Thompson (Lisa) of Ferguson, MO and Rev. Heath Thompson (Stacy) of Terre Haute, Indiana, his six great granchildren: Christian, Corban, and Cylan of Ferguson MO and Leah, Ayanna, and Novy of Terre Haute, ID, one brother: Vernon Perkins of Wheelersburg, Ohio, and one sister Nikki Burns of Columbus, Ohio and many special neices, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceeded in death by his parents: Dave & Ida Mae (Burgett) Perkins, two sisters: Irene Howard and Jean DeLaney, and one brother: Eldon Perkins.
Rev. Dusty Thompson and Rev. David Perkins (nephew) will be officiating the service. Arrangements will be at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with viewing on Sunday, March 11, 2018 from 6-8pm and the service at the funeral home, Monday, March 12, 2018 at 11am. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
